At Volunteer Salt Spring we help individuals find the right volunteering opportunity to match their passion, skills, experience and availability.

We help local organizations find the volunteers they need by providing a gateway to the community for their volunteering needs. We also help educate both volunteers and volunteer organizations on the many aspects of volunteering.

Volunteers come from all walks of life and have many different reasons for getting involved in volunteering.

Urgent Needs & New Opportunities

Volunteer to help with set-up & take-down for The Juicy Amazing Goddess Woman Event and receive a free day pass!

Interested in our beautiful parks and recreational activities? PARC is looking for a volunteer to join the PARC board for a 2 year term.

Help empower people, enable them to work themselves out of poverty, to integrate with their community and to help them help their children, thus breaking the cycle of illiteracy. Salt Spring Literacy needs an unlimited number of volunteers tutors to help with a variety of literacy programs and initiatives.

Adore animals? The Salt Spring Island Branch of the BC SPCA is urgently looking for 4-6 volunteer animal care workers to look after their cats and rabbits.

An unlimited number of volunteers are needed to help mentor youths by becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister.

Love to read? The Salt Spring Public Library needs student volunteers for the children's department and 5 new volunteer Library Clerks.

Volunteer Salt Spring is looking for 2-3 writers to help us with public relations by covering and writing about Salt Spring Island's volunteer run events and organizations.
