Salt Spring
operates under the auspices of the Volunteer Centre Project Steering
Committee and Salt Spring Island Community Services with short-term
funding from the Salt Spring Island Foundation. An advisory committee
made up of representatives of various community groups is overseeing and
managing the project.
Established in 2006, our
ongoing goal is to host a sustainable website and a local database of
volunteer opportunities, and to offer support and relevant training to
volunteer agencies while raising awareness and appreciation of volunteer
efforts in our community.

Volunteer Canada.
