The Let’s Do Brunch program is looking for new volunteers to add to our great group of people. We are a dedicated group of volunteers who help the community by providing breakfast and lunch to the public waiting for their Food Bank groceries every Tuesday.

Here are just a few of the duties: setting up the tables and chairs, filling plates of butter, jam, peanut butter, setting out bread, muffins and goodies, scrambling eggs or making pancakes, heating soup, serving the food, handing out Food Bank numbers and helping people fill out their Food Bank forms, doing dishes, putting everything away for next week, cleaning up. There are no special skills or experience required, just have an open mind, a non-judgemental attitude and bring a smile. Any Food Safe experience or training is appreciated. You have to be able to do some lifting and be mostly on your feet for 4 hours.

The Let’s Do Brunch program is open to the public every Tuesday from 8.30 am to set-up till 12 noon. Volunteers come in at 8:30 set up.  Training and orientation is provided by Senior Volunteers.

Benefits to the Volunteer:
Volunteers will be part of a team that is directly feeding the hungry in our community. Without their valuable help, our agency would not be able to provide breakfast and lunch to the people waiting for their
food bank groceries. There is a real sense of doing something good for very vulnerable people in our community.  Come and volunteer in a fun and busy atmosphere where you can make a difference – join the Let’s Do Brunch team!
