Grant Connect from Imagine Canada at VCR

VCR will now be offering the Grant Connect program from Imagine Canada. Through Grant Connect, your not-for-profit organization can research funding sources with one easy tool. Grant Connect is a database that allows you to research funders that are specific to your mission and fit your organization. Grant Connect, the next generation of Canadian Directory to Foundations and Corporations, provides up-to-date detailed information on grantmaking foundations, corporate community investment programs, government funding programs and American foundations that will fund Canadian charities. It makes fundraising easier by offering grant seekers a set of tools that facilitate the identification of potential donors and helps to create targeted proposals.

For a yearly subscription fee of $25 not-for-profit organizations can:

  • Access the Grant Connect database at the VCR office.
  • Have the ability to research over 10,000 funders in one place through the Grant Connect website.
  • Have an affordable and easy way to find new funders.

If you would like to join us to find out more or if you would like to sign up for Grant Connect please email: or call 250-931-0039.

“Thanks to the Grant Connect program housed at the VCR we have applied to a range of funders whom I had not previously known about. Now that the School District no longer purchases a yearly membership, it is a conveniently located, very valuable community asset enabling me to research possible funders for school district programs supported through Connecting Generations.”

Sarah Hook-Nilsson, Coordinator, Connecting Generations

“It’s great to know that this resource is available on Salt Spring, and I really do hope that people realise what an amazing resource it is! It was nuts trying to find out where it was available – the sources that Imagine Canada gave me included the Legislature, who only allow staff to use it, and UVIC, who only allow library card holders to access it.  Thank you for being a community organization that offers this important community funding database”
